Kamala’s America: Convicted murderer rewarded with taxpayer-funded sex change operation

Another monstrous murderer has been granted taxpayer-funded sex change operations courtesy of Kamala Harris and the policies she supported as California’s Attorney General.

California inmate John Jacobson, Jr., who now wants to be called “Skylar Deleon”, murdered a couple in 2004 for the sole purpose of stealing enough money to pay for his sexual reassignment procedures.

Jacobson and his co-conspirators feigned interest in purchasing a yacht from Thomas Hawks and his wife Jackie. While all were on the boat and out to sea, Jacobson subdued the couple with a stun gun, forced them to give up their banking information, tied them to the boat’s anchor, and pushed them into the water to drown. He and his accomplices then raided the deceased couple’s refrigerator and consumed their beer while enjoying an afternoon of fishing.

The heinous crime has earned Jacobson the moniker “Yacht Killer”, and he is currently serving a life sentence without the possibility of parole. Just last year, almost two decades after the murders, Jacobson was granted his wish of gender transition surgery on the tab of the California tax payers. In a letter to the Washington Free Beacon, he confirmed undergoing the procedures writing, “I did receive gender affirming surgery and breast augmentation on April 5th 2023.”

In the name of so-called civil rights and medical necessity, a convicted murderer has been rewarded with the exact thing he killed to obtain. That is the antithesis of justice. A distraught family member of the victims spoke to the Free Beacon expressing the same disbelief saying, “He killed my daughter and son-in-law, and now he gets what he wants.”

Also according to Jacobson, he began hormone treatments when he was first sent to San Quentin State Prison in 2009, the year before Kamala Harris won her bid as Attorney General of the Golden State. However, after she took office, the state dramatically changed its approach to transgender inmates, thanks to Harris’s actions—or inactions as the case may be.

The first court case involving taxpayer-funded sexual reassignment was in 2015. Jeffrey Bryan Norsworthy, an inmate serving a life sentence for murder, sued the California prison system for a sex change. A federal judge decided the procedure was considered required healthcare per the stipulations of the California constitution.  

At the time, Kamala Harris went on record disagreeing with the court’s decision and vowed to appeal it as Attorney General. Strangely enough, that appeal was never filed, leaving the original ruling to stand as precedent for further cases. Another inmate, Rodney Quine, sued for sexual reassignment procedures, and then-AG Harris negotiated a settlement with him that forced the state to pay for the surgeries and hundreds of thousands of dollars in attorney fees.

Since 2015, there has been a drastic increase of inmates identifying as transgender or nonbinary. CalMatters reports that as of 2022, there were 1,617 gender nonconforming inmates in California, which was a 234% increase since 2017. The state estimates 462 of the inmates will request taxpayer-funded sex change operations in 2024. It is worth noting that, like prisons, schools have also seen a drastic increase in numbers of individuals claiming gender identity crises. In both of these environments, the populations are forced to exist and interact socially with the same people for extended periods of time. The high levels of transgenderism in both ecosystems certainly seem to indicate some level of social contagion.

It is also highly likely that Kamala Harris did not file that appeal in the 2015 case on purpose. She paid lip service against a policy she knew was not popular and too radical, even for California, at the time. But her actions and policies as a presidential candidate just a few years later speak volumes.

In fact, she outright boasted about her role in the California policy in a 2019 interview with the National Center for Transgender Equality.

“I made sure they changed the policy in the state of California so that every transgender inmate in the prison system would have access to the medical care that they desire and need,” she said.

Furthermore, in a ACLU questionnaire that same year, Harris pledged that as president she would use “executive authority to ensure that transgender and non-binary people who rely on the state for medical care—including those in prison and immigration detention—will have access to comprehensive treatment associated with gender transition, including all necessary surgical care.”

Ever since her successful coup to snatch the Democrat presidential nomination from Joe Biden, Harris has clammed up on transgender issues, and no one seems to press her about them. But this week in an interview on Fox News, Bret Baier asked her about her views on the issue of taxpayer-funded sex changes for inmates. Instead of taking a stand and being honest about her radical views, all Harris could say was, “I will follow the law.”

As Baier pushed her on the issue a bit further, she claimed the topic was “really quite remote”, as if the voters do not care about where their tax dollars could potentially go.

Based on estimates of the number of transgender inmates currently in the US and the cost of gender reassignment surgeries, this Kamala Harris policy could come with a minimum $43 billion price tag for the American taxpayers. At such a large cost, this issue does not seem to be quite as remote as Harris is painting it to be.

Fearing the money might come from his share of the tax fund, Ukrainian President Zelensky may have to order his troops to change gender identities just to compete. Whether the money goes to foreign wars or rewarding convicted murderers, under a potential Kamala Harris administration, the law-abiding American majority will rank last.
