HRC boss calls for ‘revolutionary’ ‘reimagining’ of democracy then belittles the Constitution

Last week, the Democrats held their national convention and officially installed Kamala Harris as their nominee for President. While speakers took the stage to malign and lie about Donald Trump, the true machinations of the party were taking place in the less publicized meetings behind the scenes.

During one such meeting on “LGBTQ Rights”, Kelley Robinson, the president of the Human Rights Campaign, made some very ignorant yet honest remarks about the Democrats’ vision for the future of America.

In an impassioned moment of speech, during which Robinson undoubtedly thought she was waxing poetically, she simultaneously belittled the Constitution and tugged at the heartstrings of communism.

“We can’t just worry about protecting democracy. In this moment, we’ve got to reimagine it with people who look and love like us at the center. And I think for us right now it’s about reimagining freedom and this American story in a way that is more revolutionary than what our founders actually put down on that little piece of paper but instead is the type of democracy that is by and for all of the people of this country. That’s the opportunity that we have.”

As the main LGBT-centered fundraising and propaganda spewing machine of the DNC, it was refreshing to hear the truth coming from a spokesperson of the HRC, but the truth was no less shocking, at least to those who have not been paying attention.

The blatant hypocrisy in her words cannot be ignored. How dare someone cheering on the undemocratic installation of Kamala Harris lecture the rest of us on democracy. Biden selected Harris as his Vice President as a genuflection to the church of DEI after she did not win a single delegate from any state primary during the 2020 election. When Biden dropped out of the race, many believe she was then forced into the top position due to election finance laws—the only way they could keep any previously-raised fundraising money was to have her lead the ticket. By supporting this mockery of the democratic process, Robinson should spare us the pious sermon.

In substance, at the core of her small soliloquy, Robinson is repeating the false notion that America is a direct democracy. As any high school student in an American Government class would know, this assertion is flat out wrong. America is a Republic that uses local and smaller democracies to elect its officials. As men who understood and learned from the history of more pure forms of democracy in places like Greece, the founders rejected this as the basis of the US government. They debated and toiled over the scaffolding of our government for months after thousands gave up their lives for our freedom. For Robinson to reduce that sacrifice to a “little piece of paper”, that she obviously wishes to shred, is disgustingly un-American.

What Robinson is describing is not “democracy”. She either uses that term because she does not know what it means, or she is purposefully misleading those listening to her—it’s unclear which of those scenarios is worse. When she describes a government “with people who look and love like us in the center”, she is elevating the minority as the standard of comparison over the majority. This is an antidemocratic idea at the core of collectivism—the idea that the group takes priority over the individual. The governmental form of collectivism is communism.

But at least Kelley Robinson is being honest. She is saying the quiet part out loud. She is by no means the only Democrat who feels this way, nor is she the most high profile. Kamala Harris has been hinting at these wishes for years now. Harris is often ridiculed for her specific catch phrase “unburdened by what has been”. To some this is simply another example of Harris’s nonsensical word salad. However, there is meaning behind those words.

If we imagine “what has been” to be American history and the founding of our country, which the revisionist Democrats decry as racist at its core, then “unburdening” us of that history is to scrap it and start anew, just as Robinson suggested in her diatribe. In fact, in his Communist Manifesto, Karl Marx wrote, “[I]n communist society, the present dominates the past.” Reimagining a government and ridding ourselves of the shackles of the Constitution and the history that comes with it while ushering in a communist utopia is their goal.

None of this should be surprising to gay Americans. We were the guinea pigs. Under the direction and activism of organizations like HRC the homosexual community has been “unburdened by what has been”. Gay history has been rewritten: gay rights activist Malcolm Michaels Jr. was renamed Marsha P. Johnson and made into a trans woman. The word “gay” has been replaced with “queer”. The smallest portion of the populace, the trans and nonbinaries, have been placed at the center of our collectivist community, and we have been told that their plight is our plight. In short, gays have been erased for the good of the collective.

The microcosmic communist experiment has wreaked havoc on normal, rational gay Americans as we have been lumped into the insanity and grooming behaviors of radical activists. The large-scale “reimagining of democracy” that Kelley Robinson is proposing would devastate the fabric of all of American society, and as people who have seen its effects within our own borders, we need to speak out against it.
