Finally, he does something funny! Billy Eichner has unhinged meltdown over polls

He is supposed to be a comedian.

But, if you look at Billy Eichner’s resume, there isn’t a whole lot of mirth going on.

First, there was the disastrous romance movie Bros, which tanked at the box office despite a massive multi-million promotional campaign in October 2022.

At the time, openly-gay Eichner blamed homophobia for the commercial failure, saying: “Even with glowing reviews, great Rotten Tomatoes scores etc., straight people, especially in certain parts of the country, just didn’t show up for Bros. That’s disappointing, but it is what it is.”

However, there was also Difficult People, the sitcom he did with Julie Klausner. While it got off to a decent start, it was cancelled after just two seasons.

Likewise, a similar fate also happened to his other show, Billy on the Street, which was dumped by no less than three networks before finally being pronounced dead.

However, it’s not all bad news for the 46-year-old because he’s just given his funniest performance yet — courtesy of an election-themed rant on social media.

Uploaded to TikTok on Saturday, Eichner’s clip has gone viral for its unintentional hilarity and blatant TDS. In it, the Queens native can be seen ripping into Democrats who are telling people to keep the faith as Harris slips in the polls.

“I don’t post videos like this often, but I will regret it if I don’t,” Eichner began. “It’s two weeks until the election…I’m getting a lot of texts and feeling a lot of people panicking. It is time to f*cking panic, okay? And not just panic, but to do something about it.”

He adds: “The polls are not good. I’m just gonna be blunt. I don’t work for the Kamala campaign. I’m just gonna call it like I see it. The polls are not good.”

“Trump has the momentum. The man’s a f*cking r*pist who’s been raping and sexually assaulting women his entire life. He’s a f*cking nepo-baby, incompetent motherfucker who is mentally disintegrating in front of our eyes, and his voters don’t seem to care.”

The unhinged monologue then steps up a gear, with Eichner appearing almost tearful.

“Please. Get involved. [Trump] is a danger to the physical safety of American citizens everywhere, not to mention our economy and to our personal freedoms, what we do with our bodies, what gets taught in schools,” he added. “He is very, very dangerous, and not in the cool f–king way that some of his fanboys think he is.”

Eichner then predicted a Margaret Atwood-style dystopia if Trump were to win a second term.

“Donald Trump, in his first term, managed to overturn Roe v. Wade and eliminate the right for women federally to have an abortion after 50 years,” he said.

“Can you imagine what he is going to do in a second term when he is more confident, has less f–ks to give, is more empowered and honestly seems more organized? Project 2025, which is truly horrific in terms of its goals, points to all of that.”

Eichner also listed several websites where people could go to find out more, naming IWillVote.com, VoteSaveAmerica.com, and SwingLeft.org.

“So please, do what you can, because we will live to regret it if we don’t,” Eichner said in conclusion. “We have two weeks. We will live to regret it if we don’t. Even the people voting for him will live to regret it. That’s it, thank you for listening.”

Naturally, while the impassioned video might’ve appealed to some Kamala supporters, it has largely drawn ridicule from people on X.

Elon Musk himself was among the first to respond to the footage, saying: “They don’t even realize how big the loss will be yet!”

Others were also quick to add their reactions.

“What’s the quickest way to become a therapist? I want to cash in on this,” joked one.

“I still find it astonishing to hear rants like this,” quipped another. “After millions of previous TDS patients have recovered and publicly shared their awakening, how can people still believe all the lies they’ve been fed? I hope someone captures this post so he can see it in a year.”

“I hope to see lots of liberal tears on November 5th,” said another Trump voter.

Currently, a number of pollsters have Trump leading with a slight margin. According to FiveThirtyEight’s latest poll average, Trump has a 1 percent advantage in North Carolina and 2 percent edge in Arizona and Georgia.

There’s also less than half a percentage point separating Harris and Trump in Michigan, Nevada, Pennsylvania and Wisconsin.

Trump is also marginally ahead in Pennsylvania and Nevada, although Harris enjoys a minuscule edge in Michigan and Wisconsin.

Even Trump’s arch enemy, CNN, recently said that he could win the popular vote, which is something a Republican hasn’t done since 1988.

Additionally, the latest ActiVote poll, conducted from October 3-8, showed Donald Trump holding a 1.2-point lead nationwide with a 3 percent margin of error.

However, Democrats shouldn’t be too disheartened by this news.

After all, if Trump does win, it’ll produce some of the funniest comedy we’ve ever seen. And, finally, Billy Eichner will be up there with the best of them.
