On Saturday, Oct. 10 OUTspoken hosted its first Pride Party at Wheeler’s Raid Distillery outside Nashville, TN. The filled-to-capacity event attracted LGBTs from across the country who were brought together by their shared support for President Trump and advocacy for free speech and independent thinking.

Special guests for the evening included Fmr. Acting Director of National Intelligence Richard Grenell; journalist and OUTspoken Editor-in-Chief Chadwick Moore; journalists Hazem Farraj and Andy Ngo; political commentators Rob Smith, Mikey Harlow, and Christian Walker; memelord Brokeback Patriot; WalkAway campaign founder Brandon Straka; activist Shemeka Michelle; designer Andre Soriano; and drag performers Elaine Lancaster and Lady Maga.

At a smaller event Friday evening, President Trump phoned group organizers via Grenell to thank them for their support and offer encouragement and well-wishes. Earlier that day, Vice President Mike Pence and Second Lady Karen Pence also spoke to organizers on the phone.

For many guests the event was a watershed moment for LGBT conservatives coming together to forge a community of likeminded people and meet friends they’d only previously known online. “I’ve never been in a room with so many gay conservatives,” one attendee commented.

“This means the world to so many of us,” another attendee remarked.

Special thanks goes out to Charles Moran from the Log Cabin Republicans, Chadwick Moore of OUTspoken, and T.J. Chang.
