West Coast wannabe Tim Walz is more radical than Gavin Newsom

This week, Kamala Harris asked Minnesota Governor Tim Walz to join the presumptive ticket as her vice presidential running mate. The differences between Walz and J.D. Vance, Trump’s VP pick, are night and day. For one, Vance wants to ensure the next generation has a prosperous country to inherit, whereas Walz wants to ensure adolescent boys have access to free tampons. Being forced to pick between those two viewpoints is a real Sophie’s Choice. Moreover, the attacks lobbed at these two men from their opponents are quite telling. Walz is being called out and questioned regarding his record and policies, but Vance has fallen prey to out-of-context quotations and lies.

The moment Vance accepted the nomination during the Republican National Convention, the media and rabid leftists online began digging for dirt on him like vultures looking for rotten meat. They first found a satirical social media post claiming that Vance performed coitus with a couch citing pages from his best-selling novel Hillbilly Elegy. Coming from a demographic that is obsessed with child genital mutilation and allowing children to read pornography in school, I’m not sure I would throw a stone in that particular glass house. Just as swiftly as the rumor took off, PolitiFact fact checkers flagged it as completely false, noting that the original social media post had since been archived.

Their next best ammunition was to go back to an interview from 2021, and take a quote about “childless cat ladies” completely out of context. In the three-year-old interview, Vance quipped that “childless cat ladies” have too much sway in America, and their poor political positions negatively affect all of us.

“We are effectively run in this country, via the Democrats, via our corporate oligarchs, by a bunch of childless cat ladies who are miserable at their own lives and the choices that they’ve made, and so they wanna make the rest of the country miserable, too,” he said in the 2021 interview. The screeching shrews couldn’t get on their soapboxes fast enough, and the media is trying to label Vance as a racist misogynist.

Molly Jong-Fast, the Gloria Steinem wannabe, spoke out on MSNBC, claiming Vance’s comments were racist because he only wants white children to be born in America. “What’s interesting is that this is this natalism that comes from an authoritarian playbook, right? That there need to be more ‘white children,’ right? That’s the idea,” Jong-Fast ignorantly stated. Considering that Vance is married to an Indian-American woman with three biracial children, I don’t think he’s succeeding at embodying the racially pure authoritarian stereotype. Plus, considering the rate of black babies aborted in the United States is significantly higher compared to white babies (41.5% versus 30.2% respectively), it seems the abortion-loving left actually prefers white babies, not J.D. Vance.

The new potential Democrat VP candidate Tim Walz, on the other hand, has an abysmal record that he’s running on. First, and perhaps most critically, there’s the erosion of parental rights. Last year, as governor of Minnesota, Walz signed into law a piece of legislation basically naming the state a sanctuary for minors seeking “gender-affirming care” if their home state does not allow it. It has been reported that the law, in some cases, could strip custody from a parent who objects to the life-altering treatments being performed on his/her child. Tiffany Justice, a cofounder of Moms for Liberty, spoke out against Walz’s potential nomination. “Tim Walz is literally the most anti-parent running mate that Kamala Harris could have chosen,” Justice stated. She further called it “a slap in the face to parents.”

The law is so radical, that even California Gov. Gavin Newsom refused to sign a near-identical bill when it came to his desk in 2023.

Walz also failed miserably in securing St. Paul and Minneapolis during the riots of 2020 after the death of George Floyd. He allowed buildings and businesses to burn; he allowed business owners and citizens of Minnesota to lose their livelihoods by denying the use of the National Guard. In a press conference at the time, Walz admitted the mistake in that decision saying the response was “an abject failure”.

It was suggested that Walz did not know the extent of the damage and thus delayed deploying the National Guard. However, video surfaced of Walz’s wife making comments disproving this assertion and frankly highlight how bizarre and disturbing the couple is. Gwen Walz told a local news channel in an interview, “I could smell the burning tires, and that was a very real thing. And I kept the windows open as long as I could because I felt like that was such a touchstone of what was happening.”

Smelling people’s hopes and dreams burn brings these people some sick sense of joy.

But perhaps Walz’s crowning achievement was dodging his deployment to Iraq the night before he was supposed to leave. As Walz decided to go back on his commitment and quit the military, Thomas Behrends took his place with a moment’s notice. In an exclusive interview with the New York Post, Behrends called Walz out for his “cowardice”. “When your country calls, you are supposed to run into battle — not the other way,” retired command sergeant major Behrends said. “He ran away. It’s sad.” He also added, “[Walz] had the opportunity to serve his country, and said ‘Screw you’ to the United States. That’s not who I would pick to run for vice president.”

The left resorts to spinning unwarranted controversy and repeating bizarre lies meant to demean J.D. Vance’s character. Whatever happened to Michelle Obama’s “When they go low, we go high”? It seems when there is nothing noteworthy to attack, progressives forsake even St. Big Mike’s sage advice. Tim Walz, conversely, has a laundry list of failures, moments of questionable integrity, and terrible policy decisions against him, and he seems actually to be proud of many of them. If Kamala Harris’s intent was to pick a running mate who makes her look competent and successful by comparison, she may have achieved that goal—her first success in four years.
